South Korean star Bi Rain arrives in Ho Chi Minh City for water music fest

His arrival drew a crowd of excited fans who had gathered at Tan Son Nhat International Airport hours in advance to welcome their idol.

Dressed simply in jeans and a black T-shirt, Bi Rain exuded his signature masculine charm and athletic energy.

The singer waved continuously and bowed to thank the fans who had come to greet him at the airport.

According to the organizer of the festival, Bi Rain will close the first night of WaterBomb, with a 30-minute performance from 9:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

While his setlist remains under wraps, fans have been enthusiastically predicting which classics he might perform.

Social media has been buzzing with calls for iconic hits such as Rainism, 30 Sexy, Hip Song, and La Song.

Bi Rain is no stranger to the WaterBomb festival, having appeared at multiple stops in previous years.

Most recently, he delivered a high-energy show in Macau on August 11.

Bi Rain has performed in Vietnam several times.

His first performance in Ho Chi Minh City dates back to 2006, followed by a return in 2007 with the Rain’s Coming liveshow.

In 2012, he appeared in Hanoi for an event marking 20 years of Vietnam-South Korea diplomatic relations.

He continued to captivate Vietnamese audiences in 2016 during the Miss Vietnam finale and again in 2019 at the We*Friend Concert, which drew tens of thousands of spectators.

Outside of music and acting, Bi Rain currently hosts a YouTube talk show, Season B Season, where he shares stories about life, family, and personal interests.

Bi Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji Hoon, born in 1982, began his career in the early 2000s and rose to pan-Asian stardom with his 2004 album It’s Raining.

Alongside his music career, he has taken on notable acting roles in dramas such as Full House in 2004, and expanded into Hollywood with Speed Racer in 2008 and Ninja Assassin in 2009.

Bi Rain has built a reputation not only for his talent but also for his grounded, approachable personality.
