Spectators mesmerized by fireworks displays from South Korea, Italy in Da Nang

Themed ‘Powered by Innovation,’ the night featured first-time participant Faseecom from South Korea and seasoned favorite Martarello Group S.R.L from Italy.

Despite intermittent light rain, both teams delivered world-class displays that dazzled thousands of spectators along the Han River.

Impressive debut from South Korea 

Making its first appearance at DIFF, South Korea’s Faseecom aimed to treat spectators to a hi-tech, visually striking performance.

The show, titled ‘Dance of the Rising Dragon,’ was inspired by the iconic dragon imagery shared across East Asian cultures and Da Nang’s famous Dragon Bridge.

The five-part performance told a story that unfolded like a cinematic experience, from the mythical birth of the dragon, to the growth of Da Nang, its modern vitality, aspirations for the future, and a finale bursting with color—symbolizing the city's ambition to soar on the global stage.

“This is more than a fireworks show—it is a fully immersive audio-visual journey,” a Faseecom representative shared.

Established in 1997, Faseecom Co., Ltd is one of the South Korean pioneers in integrating fireworks with multimedia and pyrotechnic performance technology.

Italian giant returns with power, poise

Facing the South Korean newcomer was a heavyweight of the international fireworks scene, Italy’s Martarello Group S.R.L.

Revered as one of the most decorated teams in DIFF history, the team claimed the championship in 2017 and 2018, placed second in 2023, and was voted the Most Beloved Team in 2024.

The Italian team delivered a grand spectacle titled ‘Symphony of Light – Unlocking the Future,’ inspired by Da Nang City’s transformation in the modern era.

The performance began with a radiant sunrise, symbolizing new beginnings, and unfolded into waves of color and movement that reflected the city’s energy and drive.

The crescendo came with a synchronized interplay of fireworks and music, an awe-inspiring finale that lit up the sky in a celebration of Da Nang’s aspirations and evolution.

“This show is not just a tribute to innovation, but also an invitation for all to dream, create, and rise,” said the leader of the Italian team.

“Through every burst of light, we honor Da Nang’s unstoppable journey and illuminate the sky with hope and ambition."

DIFF 2025 is set to continue with the grand finale, which will be broadcast live on VTV1 on July 12.
