The Vietnamese gold market witnessed an extraordinary surge on Tuesday morning as the price of SJC-branded gold bars soared by VND4.5 million (US$173.6) per tael within just two hours of opening, reaching an all-time high of VND122.5 million ($4,730) per tael.
