Enterprise’s proposal to reclaim land in Nha Trang Bay for $1.53bn statue, undersea complex rejected
Economy 13:24 02/07/2025Authorities in Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam have rejected a proposal by an enterprise to reclaim land from Nha Trang Bay to create an artificial island for building a statue of 'Mother Au Co' 257 meters from the shore, along with an underwater hotel, shopping mall, restaurant and tourist attraction complex at an estimated cost of around US$1.53 billion.
