The adjustments were announced on Wednesday evening after the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam issued an urgent warning, saying eight airports across the central region — including Da Nang, Phu Bai, Lien Khuong, Chu Lai, Phu Cat, Tuy Hoa, Pleiku, and Buon Ma Thuot — may be directly affected by the powerful storm.

Following the alert, Vietnam Airlines has suspended all services between Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Cat Airport in Gia Lai Province on Thursday, including flights VN1390, VN1391, VN1394, and VN1395.

Two additional flights on the same route, VN1392 and VN1393, will also be canceled on Friday.

Meanwhile, two Hanoi–Phu Cat flights scheduled for Thursday have been rescheduled to depart earlier than planned, before noon that day.

Two flights between Hanoi and Tuy Hoa in Dak Lak Province (VN1650, VN1651) have been canceled for Thursday, while four other services connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tuy Hoa will operate after 12:00 pm on Friday.

The carrier has also moved up four Ho Chi Minh City–Chu Lai (Da Nang City) flights to before 12:00 pm on Thursday, while Hanoi–Chu Lai services (VN1640, VN1641) will depart after 10:00 am on Friday.

Similarly, two flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Pleiku in Gia Lai Province have been rescheduled to operate before 12:00 pm on Thursday, while Hanoi–Pleiku flights (VN1614, VN1615) are set to depart after 1:00 pm on Friday.

In addition, four flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak) on Thursday have been pushed to after 11:00 am, while two Hanoi–Buon Ma Thuot services (VN1602, VN1603) on Friday will take off after 1:00 pm.

Flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hue (VN1548, VN1549, VN1376, VN1377) have also been adjusted to depart after 12:00 pm on Thursday, while two Ho Chi Minh City–Hue services (VN1366, VN1367) will operate after 1:00 pm on Friday.

In addition, the airline said more than 50 other flights across its network may experience knock-on delays during the two days.

Meanwhile, Vietnam Air Services Company (Vasco) has suspended flights 0V8024 and 0V8025 between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat (Lien Khuong Airport) on Thursday.

Other carriers, including Vietjet, Bamboo Airways, Sun PhuQuoc Airways, and Vietravel Airlines, are closely monitoring the situation and are expected to issue updates on affected flights.
