The storm came ashore in the Chinese province at around 10:00 am, with the strongest wind near the storm's eye reaching levels 10 - 11 (89 - 117 kph), and gusts up to level 13, according to the national weather center.

The storm is forecast to weaken into a tropical depression on Monday afternoon and further dissipate into a low-pressure system over Guangxi Province, China.

The storm’s circulation will cause widespread rain in Vietnam’s northern mountainous and midland regions on Tuesday and Wednesday, with precipitation ranging from 40 to 90 mm.

Some areas could see rainfall exceeding 200 mm.

Residents were warned of the possibility of over 100 mm of rain falling within just three hours.

The center has issued warnings about the potential for flooding, particularly in low-lying areas, and densely populated and industrial zones.

In addition, the risk of flash floods on small rivers and landslides on steep slopes remains high.

In the northwestern part of the East Vietnam Sea, the storm has triggered strong winds at levels 6 - 8, with areas near the eye experiencing levels 9 - 10 and gusts up to level 12.

Waves are expected to reach the height of up to six meters, creating extremely rough sea conditions.

Vessels operating in affected areas must be prepared for thunderstorms, strong winds, and high waves.
