The plant will suspend operations of two pumping stations from 9:00 pm on Saturday to 5:00 am on Sunday.
The planned maintenance will affect 46 wards such as Long Binh, Tang Nhon Phu, Long Phuoc, Long Truong, Binh Trung, Cat Lai, An Khanh, Thu Duc, Linh Xuan, Hiep Binh, and more.
These were part of former Thu Duc City before the national merger strategy took effect on July 1.
Several downtown wards will also face water cuts or reduced pressure, including Sai Gon, Tan Dinh, Xuan Hoa, Ban Co, Ben Thanh, Cau Ong Lanh, Nhieu Loc, Thanh My Tay, Gia Dinh, Cau Kieu, Phu Nhuan, and Duc Nhuan.
Binh Quoi, Binh Thanh, Binh Loi Trung, Hoa Hung, Vuon Lai, Phu Tho, Minh Phung, Binh Thoi, Dien Hong, Tan Son Hoa, Tan Son Nhat, Bay Hien, Cho Quan, An Dong, Cho Lon, Binh Tay, Binh Tien, Phu Lam, Binh Phu, Phu Dinh, and Tan Thuan will experience weakened water flow.
Binh Hung Commune, Phong Phu Commune, and Dong Hoa Ward will be subject to weakened water supply.
Sawaco stated that in some areas, especially those far from the plant, water pressure may remain low or restoration may take longer than planned.
The corporation has instructed its affiliated units to regulate the water supply network to minimize the impact on residents.
