Officers in the north-central Vietnamese province of Quang Binh are hunting for two suspects who have run away into the forest and left behind an automobile carrying over 200 kilograms of crystal meth.

The provincial Department of Police confirmed they had mobilized various units to an area near Cha Lo Border Gate in Dan Hoa Commune, Minh Hoa District to search for the suspects.

According to preliminary information, traffic police officers spotted an automobile No. 29C-30924 along National Highway 12 and signaled the driver to pull over.

The suspects sped away as soon as they saw the officers before crashing their vehicle into the road fencing.

Following the crash, two men quickly got out of the automobile and escaped to the nearby forest, leaving behind the vehicle.

Officers later discovered more than 200 kilograms of crystal meth inside the automobile.
