Hanoi hit by lightning amid low-pressure trough, wind convergence

Vietnam’s capital Hanoi was hit by frequent lightning and heavy thunderstorms early Saturday morning due to the combination of a low-pressure trough and upper-level wind convergence over the northern region, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
