Top European football clubs offer creative Lunar New Year greetings to Vietnamese fans

Sending greetings for major Vietnamese holidays has become an increasingly familiar tradition, with each year bringing more creative and personalized messages.

Borussia Dortmund stood out with a Facebook post featuring illustrated players dressed in 'ao dai' (traditional Vietnamese long gown), surrounded by peach blossoms and red envelopes.

The club's playful message was written in Vietnamese and could be translated into English as follows: "Knock knock, open the door — Dortmund is here to be the first guest of the year! Wishing everyone good health, happiness, and especially plenty of 'highlights' in the Year of the Horse. Happy New Year to the Dortmund family in Vietnam!"

Tottenham Hotspur were no less festive, with their official Facebook page sharing illustrations of players riding horses and carrying traditional Vietnamese folk festival flags, accompanied by a New Year greeting.

In the message in Vietnamese, the club wished supporters a smooth and prosperous year in which everything falls into place, with work going well and good news arriving every month.
