The two leading technology groups will work together to advance comprehensive digital transformation based on AI, aiming to enhance Vietnam’s technological competitiveness in the region.

Under the agreement, the two corporations will collaborate closely in developing and deploying digital technology platforms, AI ecosystems, and data infrastructure to support AI transformation—a process that redefines how businesses operate by integrating AI into every aspect, from tools to organizational structures, decision-making, and value creation in the digital environment of Vietnam.

The partnership includes plans to build a dedicated AI data center and GPU (graphics processing unit) server clusters.

To strengthen AI transformation capabilities, the two firms will also focus on developing high-quality IT and AI transformation talent through a global development center located in Hanoi.

They have agreed to expand training programs to contribute to cultivating the next generation of AI experts for Vietnam.

Viettel—equipped with extensive digital and telecommunications infrastructure and deep market insight—will lead implementation efforts in Vietnam.

KT Corporation will contribute its research capabilities and technology platforms developed in South Korea, particularly in AI and AI transformation.

Through this partnership, both sides aim to create AI solutions tailored to Vietnam’s conditions while expanding these solutions to international markets.

Tao Duc Thang, chairman and CEO of Viettel Group, said with KT’s pioneering technology and Viettel’s market insight, they believe they can deliver advanced and suitable solutions for both Vietnam and the international markets where Viettel operates.

Kim Young Shub, CEO of KT Corporation, said, “By combining the strengths of both companies, we aim to help Vietnam and South Korea become global leaders in AI transformation and application.”
