By Monday afternoon, many streets in the pedestrian zone were crowded with tourists, mostly foreigners walking along dry sections to sightsee and take photos.
On streets such as Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Tran Phu, and Phan Chu Trinh, foreign tourists were seen walking and taking photos of the old houses in the unusual setting.

Less than two days after the water receded, while clean-up work was still underway, the Hoai River rose again, flooding several streets.
As in previous years, residents and shopkeepers kept their lights on and continued welcoming visitors despite the water.

The central market was deeply flooded, and streets including Bach Dang, Le Loi, and Nguyen Phuc Chu were also submerged.
Only the upper part of An Hoi Bridge was visible above the water.
Warning signs and safety officers were posted at flooded sections to protect pedestrians and vehicles.
