The truck crashed into the rear of the tractor-trailer that had stopped due to a mechanical issue, causing the deadly accident.
Local authorities in Hoan Lao Commune confirmed that the accident happened at around 4:30 am.
The tractor-trailer was traveling along the expressway when it encountered a problem and was forced to stop on the section passing through the commune.
Moments later, the truck approaching from behind failed to avoid the stationary vehicle and slammed into it.
The crash killed two people at the scene and injured three others, who were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

After being notified of the incident, officers quickly arrived at the spot, redirected traffic, and began investigating the cause of the accident.
