Vietnam receives 28 rare turtles repatriated from South Korea

World 13:50 08/06/2025A small Kenyan NGO is on a mission to save thousands of turtles from poachers, fishermen’s nets and environmental hazards, such as rising sea levels and ever-worsening plastic waste, in a bid to protect the region’s majestic turtle population. The Local Ocean Conservation charity has carried out some 24,000 rescues over almost three decades.
