At around 10:20 pm, two young men wearing masks and helmets entered Kim Luong jewelry store in Quang Lap Commune, pretending to shop.

When the owner, Huynh Thi Lan, was showing them items, one suspect suddenly snatched a gold necklace and bracelet worth about VND74 million (US$2,860) before fleeing on a black Air Blade scooter.

Major General Truong Minh Duong, head of the provincial police department, immediately ordered a rapid investigation.

Officers reviewed evidence, tracked leads, and quickly identified the suspects.

By 3:00 pm on Tuesday, police arrested Le Anh Huy and Tran Do Thanh Phong, both residents of Quang Lap Commune.

Authorities recovered all stolen jewelry and returned it to the victim.

At the police station, the two admitted their crime.
