Police in south-central Binh Thuan province’s Phan Thiet City are carrying out procedures to deport two Russian nationals who caused public disorder and smashed furniture at a resort in the city last Sunday.
According to the case file, Aleksan Dek, 33, and Titov Konstantin, 24, committed the offense at Su Tu Bien (Sea Lion) II Resort in Tien Thanh Commune at 2 am on September 1, when they were both drunk.
The resort called local police to the scene, but the drunken foreigners resisted police officers and continued breaking things. It was not until city police and police 113 (police for emergencies) arrived that they stopped their disturbing acts.
Police temporarily seized the foreigners and confiscated a 0.3-meter long knife from them.
After being escorted to the office of the commune police, the men admitted to their wrongdoings, and they later paid the resort total damages of over VND10 million (US$480).
The commune police also gave them administrative fines totaling VND4 million ($192) for the disturbance of public peace.
Binh Thuan police and the provincial Immigration Department are finalizing procedures to expel the two foreigners.
