On Monday morning, a U.S. Embassy delegation in Vietnam, led by U.S. Ambassador Jennifer Wicks, visited the special national relic of Quang Tri Ancient Citadel in Quang Tri Province, central Vietnam, to pay tribute and offer incense.
Hoang Nam, standing vice-chairman of the Quang Tri People's Committee, joined the delegation.
In a solemn atmosphere, Wicks, members of the delegation and Quang Tri provincial officials observed a minute of silence and offered incense at the memorial at the special national relic of Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.
The delegation also listened to an introduction to artifacts displayed at the special national relic.

On the occasion, Nam briefed Ambassador Jennifer Wicks and the delegation on Quang Tri's efforts to address the legacy of war, step up bomb and mine clearance, and preserve, restore, and promote the value of historical sites across the province.
