An image taken from a video shows a man kicking a Pomeranian, sending it slamming into a door at a spa in Da Nang City, Vietnam.

In the footage, which may have been extracted from a surveillance camera, the man suddenly kicks the dog, which appears to be lying down and doing nothing, and then calmly walks outside to stand by the road.

Meanwhile, the person accompanying him remains seated outside, scrolling on a phone as if nothing has happened.

The incident is believed to have taken place at a spa in Ngu Hanh Son Ward, Da Nang City, leaving the dog with three broken ribs.

A video captures the moment a man kicks a Pomeranian, sending it into a door before it bounces back onto the yard in front of a spa in Da Nang City, Vietnam.

Speaking to Tien Phong (Vanguard) newspaper on Saturday evening, T., the owner of the spa on An Thuong 3 Street, said he was still outraged by the incident.

He recounted that on the afternoon of the previous day, two foreign guests arrived at his spa while no staff were present, so they sat down to wait.

One of the men was sitting inside using his phone before suddenly standing up, walking toward the door, and kicking the dog that was lying nearby.

The kick was so strong that the small dog slammed into the door and bounced back into the front yard of the place, crying out in pain, T. said.

After kicking the dog, the man walked out to stand by the road, while his companion continued sitting on a chair using a phone as though nothing had happened.

About 15 minutes later, T.’s wife returned to the spa and heard the dog crying in pain, so she rushed it to a veterinary clinic.

According to T., an X-ray showed that the dog had three broken ribs, and the veterinarian said that because the dog is very small, it could not be put in a cast and would have to recover naturally as the bones heal.

T. shared that the Pomeranian has been with his family for many years and is deeply loved and cared for like a close companion.

Since the injury, the dog has had difficulty moving and appears frightened.

The family said they feel heartbroken but can only give it pain medication while comforting it and taking extra care with its food and daily care in hopes that it will recover soon.

“From security camera footage and what neighbors told us, the two were foreign tourists speaking Chinese,” T. said.

“They even had suitcases with them when they came to the spa.”

T. added that his family was extremely angry over the violent and callous act toward the animal, but they did not report the incident to police as the men were tourists and may have already left the country.
