The announcement was made at a ceremony during the Vietnam-Singapore Technology Connectivity Forum 2026 in Singapore last Friday in the presence of Vietnamese Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, who attended the forum as part of his state visit to the city-state from May 29 to 31.
The Nha Trang-Singapore service is scheduled to begin on December 11, operating four round-trip flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
It will offer more convenient travel options for both residents and tourists, while improving air connectivity between Singapore and Vietnam’s south-central coastal region.
The route is also anticipated to further raise Nha Trang’s profile as a major coastal destination in Asia, known for its blue beaches, diverse marine ecosystem, year-round mild climate, and internationally recognized resorts and entertainment facilities.
The new service is expected to support tourism growth and further strengthen bilateral exchanges between Vietnam and Singapore.
It is part of Vietjet’s continued expansion of its Vietnam-Singapore network, one of the airline’s most important international corridors, following the launch of its Singapore-Phu Quoc route in March 2025.
Dang Viet Phuong, first vice-chairman of Vietjet, said the airline aims to position itself as a 'growth bridge' between countries through continued network expansion, supporting trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange.
He added that direct routes linking high-potential destinations in Vietnam with major Asian hubs such as Singapore are helping create new growth corridors in tourism, trade, investment, and international connectivity.
Since launching its first Singapore-Vietnam route in 2014, Vietjet has carried more than 3.8 million passengers on over 22,000 flights, contributing to stronger bilateral connectivity and rising travel demand among residents, tourists, and business travelers.
The airline currently operates four direct routes between Singapore and Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc, with more than 100 flights per week.
