According to Dang Anh Tuan, deputy general director of Vietnam Airlines, the check-in lounge marks the beginning of the airline’s comprehensive strategy to upgrade its five-star services.
The service is exclusively available to VIP and CIP passengers, Million Miler members, Lotusmiles Platinum members, and Business Class travelers.
Unlike standard priority check-in counters, the check-in lounge is designed as a completely separate space from public areas, ensuring absolute privacy and tranquility.
Passengers are not required to wait in line and are assisted by a dedicated staff team through the entire process—from baggage drop and check-in to boarding pass issuance.
Covering over 270 square meters, the check-in lounge at T3 Terminal features six private check-in counters, nearly 40 comfortable seats, and an elegantly designed space that follows international standards.
Passengers can relax while all formalities are completed efficiently and discreetly.
Dang Anh Tuan expressed hope that the check-in lounge would become a highlight of passengers’ travel experience, offering a five-star service from the moment passengers arrive at the airport.

A Vietnam Airlines executive told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that after Tan Son Nhat, the airline plans to expand the check-in lounge model to Noi Bai, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc airports.
The service is also being considered for rollout in Thailand, operated by Noi Bai Aviation Service Corporation, a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines.
This move is seen as a strategic step to standardize premium service experiences across the airline’s entire flight network.
The Vietnamese aviation market is witnessing an increasingly competitive race in lounge services and ground amenities.
Vietnam Airlines currently operates or partners with aviation service providers to offer Lotus Lounge services at major airports.
Bamboo Airways has also developed its own lounges for business class passengers.
Other carriers such as Vietjet and Vietravel Airlines are partnering with airport service providers like Southern Airports Services Joint Stock Company and Noi Bai Aviation Service Corporation to serve premium ticket holders.
Beyond the aviation sector, several banks including Vietcombank, SHB, VPBank, and Nam A Bank have also joined the race to offer premium airport experiences by launching exclusive lounges for their priority customers.
