According to ACV, the Da Nang People's Committee has approved the investment policy for the Terminal T1 expansion project.

The project will cover an area of around 165,000 square meters, with the expanded terminal spanning approximately 96,000 square meters.

In addition to the terminal, ACV will develop related infrastructure, including an elevated road, a multi-story parking facility combined with commercial space, transport infrastructure, parking areas, technical systems, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Of the total investment, nearly VND9.94 trillion ($377.8 million) will be allocated to renovating and expanding the terminal, using ACV's own funds.

The project is expected to take 41 months to complete, with construction scheduled to begin in August 2027 after investment procedures are finalized.

The expanded section of the terminal is expected to begin operations in January 2029, while renovation of the existing terminal is scheduled for completion in August 2029.

Once completed, Terminal T1 will handle both domestic and international flights, helping meet growing passenger demand at Da Nang International Airport, one of the major aviation gateways in central Vietnam.
