The arrests followed routine checks of foreign residents conducted by local officers in Nam Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam.
Officers initially identified nine foreign nationals staying at a lodging facility in the An Binh Tan urban area who displayed suspicious behavior.
Further investigation revealed that three of them are South Korean nationals listed under red notices issued by Interpol.
A red notice is a request to law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action.
Authorities identified the suspects as Kim Hansaem, 31, wanted since January 5, 2026, on fraud charges; Park Gyoungmo, 29, and Cho Wooseok, 28, both wanted since February 26, 2026, for organized crime and fraud.
Following their detention, Vietnamese law enforcement units completed the necessary procedures and transferred the suspects to South Korean police in accordance with international protocols.
