Vietnam auto market grows fastest in ASEAN-6, EVs drive growth

Vietnam's automobile market grew 31.1 percent year on year in the first half of 2026, the fastest growth among the six largest Southeast Asian economies (ASEAN-6), mainly driven by surging sales of electric vehicles (EVs) made by VinFast, according to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
