During the meeting, both sides discussed preparations for high-level visits, evaluated progress on previously signed agreements, and explored new ways to strengthen political and economic ties.
They agreed on the need to maintain regular exchanges, especially at the highest levels, and were committed to closely coordinating the organization of upcoming senior visits.
The two deputy ministers acknowledged that bilateral trade remains modest and unstable despite significant potential.
They called for greater cooperation in mutually complementary areas such as energy, mining, and agriculture.
The Vietnamese diplomat urged Azerbaijan to further facilitate business connectivity and market access between the two countries, proposing increased investment and trade opportunities.
Her Azerbaijani counterpart emphasized Azerbaijan’s strengths in energy and transport and reaffirmed the country’s readiness to deepen collaboration with Vietnam.
Both sides also highlighted prospects for cooperation in security and defense, science and technology, innovation, culture, sports, and tourism.
During her stay in Azerbaijan, Hang met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, who praised Vietnam’s growing regional role and economic achievements.
He expressed Azerbaijan’s interest in elevating bilateral relations and pledged his ministry’s full support in preparing for future high-level exchanges.
Hang, in turn, was committed to strengthening coordination with relevant Vietnamese agencies to follow through on previous high-level agreements and explore Azerbaijan’s proposals for bilateral engagement.
