The match was held at Hang Day Stadium, where Vietnam fielded a team featuring several professional players from PVF-CAND, a club in the country’s second-tier league.
Nguyen Nhu Tuan opened the scoring in the fifth minute, followed by a long-range goal from Tran Duc Nam in the 33rd.
Nam assisted a third goal by Vu Manh Duy in the 68th minute, and Nguyen Duc Phu added a fourth in the closing stages.
Tran Duc Nam was named top scorer and best player of the tournament, with eight goals and multiple assists.
Vietnam received the winners' prize of US$30,000.
Cambodia, the runners-up, took home $15,000.
Thailand and Timor Leste, who shared third place, were each awarded $5,000.

The tournament, which ran from July 5 to 15, featured eight teams, including two from Vietnam, five from other Southeast Asian nations, and one from Australia.
Matches were played in Hanoi and Hung Yen Province.
Organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security, the event marked the 80th anniversary of the country’s People’s Public Security Force.
It was also aimed at promoting cooperation among regional police forces and raising Vietnam’s international profile, organizers said.
T&T Group and SHB Bank were the tournament’s main sponsors.
