The event was jointly organized by the National Cybersecurity Association (NCA), Vietnam Television (VTV), and the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, with the participation of global digital asset firms OKX Global and Tether.
The conference brought together nearly 200 representatives from regulatory bodies, financial and technology experts, cybersecurity specialists, and leaders of technology enterprises, and organizations involved in operating digital asset exchanges.
International experience has shown that even major digital asset exchanges have been vulnerable to cyberattacks, technical loopholes, and operational failures.
Such incidents have resulted in significant financial losses and have undermined market confidence, highlighting the critical importance of robust cybersecurity.
In Vietnam, the government’s issuance of Resolution No. 05/2025 on piloting the digital asset market over a five-year period has established a controlled testing framework for the development of digital assets.
While this initiative opens new opportunities for innovation and market growth, it also places stringent requirements on system security, operational safety, and regulatory oversight.
Access to international practices in securing and operating digital asset exchanges has been identified as a key priority for both regulators and market participants.
At the conference, experts from OKX, Tether, and the NCA presented in-depth reports covering a range of critical topics.
These included the technical aspect of large-scale international digital asset trading platforms; operational mechanisms, risk management, and supervisory models for virtual asset service providers; and experiences in public-private cooperation to strengthen cybersecurity and combat illicit financial flows.
Speakers also discussed training frameworks aimed at enhancing the capacity of organizations to ensure the safety and security of digital asset exchanges.
The event was part of a broader series of professional activities recently launched by the National Cybersecurity Association.
These initiatives were set to focus on analyzing cybersecurity risks, emerging technology models, user protection requirements, and governance and supervisory mechanisms for digital asset data infrastructure.
Through this series of activities, the association aims to raise public awareness of cybersecurity as a core component of the national digital trust infrastructure.
Also, it seeks to support the business community in accessing and applying advanced technologies to develop digital asset exchanges in a manner that is secure, transparent, and compliant with Vietnamese law.
