During the reception, PM Hung conveyed greetings to Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang and other Chinese leaders, while praising the positive momentum in Vietnam-China relations in recent years.
He highlighted the April state visit to China by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, saying the trip produced important outcomes that helped strengthen political trust, enhance strategic orientation, and elevate ties between the two Parties and countries.
PM Hung reaffirmed that Vietnam considers relations with China a consistent policy, a strategic choice, and a top priority in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification.
The prime minister said both sides should continue closely coordinating to effectively implement high-level common understandings, maintain regular exchanges, and expand practical cooperation across sectors in support of each country’s development goals.
He called for balanced, healthy, and sustainable growth in bilateral trade, along with breakthroughs in strategic infrastructure connectivity, particularly in railway cooperation.
PM Hung also proposed accelerating the development of cross-border economic corridors, logistics centers, border-gate economic zones, and industrial clusters in border areas, while speeding up the construction of smart border gates and the implementation of cross-border economic cooperation zones.
The Vietnamese leader urged China to create favorable conditions for Vietnam to participate effectively in China’s ‘Big Market for All: Export to China’ initiative and further open its market to Vietnamese agricultural, aquatic, and livestock products.
He also called for stronger cooperation in science and technology, education and training, healthcare and traditional medicine, as well as specific plans for the Vietnam–China Tourism Cooperation Year 2026-27.
Ambassador He conveyed greetings and congratulations from PM Li and other Chinese leaders to PM Hung.
The diplomat said bilateral trade has maintained growth momentum, while investment cooperation has increasingly shifted toward high-tech and innovation-driven sectors.
He added that Vietnam and China remain among each other’s leading tourism markets and have maintained frequent high-level exchanges, particularly following Party General Secretary and State President Lam’s recent visit to China.
Agreeing with PM Hung’s proposals, He said China attaches high importance to relations with Vietnam and is willing to work closely with the Southeast Asian nation to implement high-level common understandings, deepen practical cooperation, and jointly build stable supply and production chains.
He also welcomed Vietnam’s participation in the ‘Big Market for All: Export to China’ initiative to facilitate exports of Vietnamese goods, especially agricultural products, to the Chinese market.
According to the ambassador, China is ready to share experience in developing free trade zones and international financial centers, promote railway cooperation in technology and engineering, and expand rail connectivity between the two countries toward the Eurasian continent.
He also expressed China’s willingness to broaden cooperation with Vietnam in science and technology, innovation, and energy security.
