Agoda’s travel search data from September to November for stays in Vietnam between December 2025 and January 2026 showed that international interest in the Southeast Asian country surged by 30 percent overall from a year earlier.

Families from South Korea made up the top market for travel and stays in Vietnam during this period, followed by those from India, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia.

In terms of growth rate, Agoda reported that travel interest from Indian families rose the fastest, with searches jumping by 186 percent year on year.

Malaysia also posted a strong increase of 74 percent, underscoring Vietnam’s appeal as a preferred family destination in Southeast Asia and beyond.

“Families choose Vietnam for its rich culture and cuisine, diverse landscapes, and a range of resorts and attractions that are welcoming to children,” said Vu Ngoc Lam, Agoda’s country director in Vietnam.

Phu Quoc Special Zone, an island in southern An Giang Province, tops the list of most-searched family destinations, with searches rising by 47 percent thanks to its white sandy beaches, clear waters, and nature parks.

Da Nang, a central coastal city, follows closely with a 42-percent increase, offering beautiful beaches, light adventure activities, and the family-friendly Ba Na Hills amusement park.

Nha Trang, a beach destination in south-central Khanh Hoa Province, holds the third spot, continuing to attract visitors with its long coastline, family-oriented resorts, and diverse island experiences.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s southern hub, ranks fourth, drawing families with its rich culinary scene, modern entertainment complexes, and day trips to the Mekong Delta.

In the north, the capital city of Hanoi completes the top five, appealing to tourists with its cultural heritage, museums, and festive atmosphere during the holiday season.

Over the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed about 19.15 million international travelers, up 20.9 percent year on year and surpassing both pre-pandemic levels and the government’s target of 18 million arrivals for the year, according to official data.
