In the first quarter of 2026, HuM&C reported revenue of 14.5 billion won (approximately US$9.4 million), operating profit totaled 800 million won (around $519,195), and net profit stood at 900 million won (about $584,095), representing year-on-year increases of 16, 61, and 200 percent, respectively, according to its consolidated financial statements.
The company attributed the revenue growth primarily to its glass products business.
Demand for pharmaceutical vials increased alongside the expansion of the health supplement market.
Meanwhile, growth in the cosmetics and beauty industry boosted demand for pre-filled syringes, further supporting sales.
HuM&C said the full-scale operation of its Vietnam plant created a new source of revenue while helping improve its cost structure and profitability.
“The stabilization of operations at our Vietnam factory, together with growth in our core business segments and the expansion of various product lines, contributed to the improvement in the company’s business performance,” said HuM&C CEO Lee Choong Mo.
Founded in 2002 and operating under pharmaceutical conglomerate Huons Group, HuM&C specializes in producing medical glass packaging and accessories used in the cosmetics industry.
According to Dong-A Business Review, HuM&C Vina is Huons Group’s first overseas manufacturing facility and serves as HuM&C’s Vietnamese subsidiary.
Located in Hung Yen Province, northern Vietnam, the plant covers approximately 15,000 square meters and has an annual production capacity of 60 million pharmaceutical vials and 90 million drug cartridges.
The facility began full-scale operations in the second quarter of 2025 and has since become the company’s main overseas production hub.
To ensure stable operations, HuM&C expanded local recruitment, strengthened employee training programs, and actively sought new customers to convert the additional capacity from its Vietnam plant into revenue growth.
The company said these efforts have improved manufacturing efficiency and enhanced its cost competitiveness. Going forward, HuM&C plans to pursue additional cooperation opportunities with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
