According to the latest figures released by Google, YouTube reaches about 93 percent of Internet users in Vietnam every day.
As of now, the country has more than 180,000 channels with over 10,000 subscribers.
In addition to traditional content, short-form videos, including YouTube Shorts, have seen uploads increase by more than 100 percent year on year.
One notable finding in the latest report is the trend of Vietnamese creators 'exporting digital content.'
Platform data show that more than 50 percent of the total watch time for videos produced in Vietnam comes from users in other countries.
More than half of all videos uploaded by domestic channels also attract views from outside Vietnam.
“When creators share their passions, their content not only connects communities at home and brings Vietnamese identity to international audiences, but also creates measurable business value for brands," said Marc Woo, general manager of Google Vietnam.
In terms of how people access information and consume content, platform survey data show that about 40 percent of total YouTube views take place more than 30 days after a video is uploaded, reflecting the long lifespan of online content.
In e-commerce, 82 percent of viewers said they are more likely to trust and buy a product when it is recommended by a creator they follow.
YouTube is also expanding its integration of affiliate marketing and live shopping partnerships with major e-commerce platforms.
