Over the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam received more than 17.1 million international visitors.

China remained the largest source market, sending over 433,000 travelers, accounting for around 40 percent of total arrivals.

South Korea followed with 360,000 visitors, and Taiwan contributed more than 106,000.

Thailand's visitor numbers rebounded in October, rising 20 percent compared with September, after several months of declines.

By contrast, arrivals from Japan fell 22 percent and Malaysia dropped 19 percent from the previous month.

Domestic tourism was estimated at around six million trips in October, including about four million overnight stays, bringing the total domestic tourism figure for the first 10 months to 125 million trips.

Revenue from tourism during this period reached an estimated VND858 trillion (US$32.6 billion).

Tourism experts said Vietnam's open policies and expansion of new flight routes have boosted its appeal to international travelers.

In October, Etihad Airways launched direct flights from Abu Dhabi with six weekly services, targeting high-spending Middle Eastern tourists.

Earlier, direct flights to India helped attract a significant number of visitors from that country.

Vietnam has set a 2025 target of 25 million international arrivals and has reached about 68 percent of that goal so far.
