At the inspection, the prime minister praised the efforts of ministries, agencies, the Hanoi authorities, and Vingroup, noting that after just over eight months of construction, the exhibition center has taken shape and is now in its final stages of completion.

Key components of the center have been essentially completed, with the remaining work including the external roof, glass façade, an indoor exhibition building, electromechanical systems, and auxiliary items still underway.

The government leader emphasized the need to complete the center in time to host an exhibition showcasing national achievements for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

He stated that in the long term, the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center should be developed into a new symbol of Hanoi and the nation in terms of scale, culture, architecture, structure, landscape, and management.

It should reflect national stature and align with the country’s historical and cultural traditions, especially showcasing the achievements of 40 years of Doi Moi (Renovation).

PM Chinh also directed that the center become a major exhibition and fair hub of regional and global standing, allowing citizens to enjoy the fruits of national development and access cultural and artistic values from both Vietnam and the world.

In addition to completing the main components, PM Chinh instructed that all auxiliary structures, services, and amenities be fully developed to optimize the entire space.

He also stressed the need to build and synchronize infrastructure such as transportation, electricity, water supply, telecommunications, and other utilities in the center.

He requested that the construction be fundamentally completed by the end of July 2025.

The Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center is a key national project in the fields of trade and services, replacing the old exhibition center in Giang Vo Ward, Ba Dinh District.

Construction began in late August 2024. Covering an area of 90 hectares, it ranks among the 10 largest exhibition centers in the world and is expected to become a new 'wonder' of the capital, sparking a vibrant 'Expo' economy on par with global trade hubs.
