Early last month, T.A.T., a resident of Thai Ninh Commune, used his phone to film an overturned electric vehicle with a person lying on top of it under a blanket.
The scene was staged on a road in the Diem Dien Riverside urban area in Thai Thuy Commune.
T. then added music to the footage before uploading it to social media.
During his meeting with police, the teenager admitted the video was created purely for personal entertainment.
He said no one had encouraged or forced him to do so.
After officers explained the risks of spreading misleading content, T. voluntarily deleted the video and pledged to comply with the law governing social media use.
Police emphasized that such staged videos can cause confusion and panic among viewers.
They urged residents to verify information from reliable sources before sharing it, and avoid posting unverified or fabricated images and clips.
