The drills, held over 84 days at Vietnam National University-Hanoi in Hoa Lac Commune on the outskirts of Hanoi, took place in high heat and periodic thunderstorms, with outdoor temperatures reaching nearly 40 degrees Celsius.
The parade, known as A80, will include the largest participation by public security units to date, according to Colonel Pham Huu Thinh, deputy commander of the Mobile Police Command.

“The formations include cadets from police academies along with officers from across the public security system,” Thinh told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.
“Most units have completed the second phase of training and are preparing for the final stage.”

He added that participating units complied with training protocols issued by the Ministry of Public Security, despite limited infrastructure and prolonged heat.
The parade is scheduled to be held in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh Square on September 2.
It marks both the August Revolution of 1945 and the declaration of Vietnam’s independence.
