On Tuesday, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism released guidance emphasizing the need to protect tourists and respond promptly to global crises.
As per the directive, which follows recommendations from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, travel agencies must stop organizing trips to dangerous conflict zones.
Companies are required to closely track the situation and comply with official advisories.
For groups already abroad in affected regions, agencies must maintain constant contact with local partners and Vietnamese diplomatic missions to ensure safety and provide necessary citizen protection measures.
The Hanoi Department of Tourism also issued a similar notice on Tuesday, reinforcing the national directive.
The Middle East conflict escalated last Saturday after the U.S. and Israel carried out airstrikes on multiple targets in Iran.
Tehran later responded with attacks on Israeli territory and missile launches targeting dozens of U.S. bases in Gulf countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman, resulting in casualties and property damage.
