Accommodation providers will be required to use the new platform from that date and will no longer submit temporary residence declarations through the previous website or accommodation notifications through the ASM software system.
The system is currently being employed in seven provinces and cities: An Giang, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as three wards in Hanoi: Hai Ba Trung, Hoan Kiem, and Ngoc Ha.
Accommodation providers in An Giang, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, and Phu Tho that use accounts from the old system must add province-specific prefixes to their usernames when logging into the new platform. For example, users in An Giang must add the prefix 'ag_' before their existing usernames.
According to the introduction published on the platform, the new system provides multiple tools to help accommodation providers submit declarations more quickly and manage data more efficiently.
Users can register accounts and complete identity verification online.
When submitting temporary residence declarations or accommodation notifications, the platform can automatically extract information from passport and citizen identification card images.
It also stores customer history to support future searches and management.
In addition, the system includes data aggregation tools, visual reporting features by time period, and export options in Excel and PDF formats.
The website also provides instructions for registration, login, and use of the temporary residence declaration system for foreigners and accommodation notification system for Vietnamese citizens.
Currently, Vietnamese citizens submit temporary residence declarations online via the VNeID app, the National Public Service Portal, or the Ministry of Public Security’s public service portal, or directly at commune and ward police offices.
Temporary residence declarations for foreigners in Vietnam are carried out at the commune/ward police office where the foreigner is staying, or via the Ministry of Public Security’s temporary residence declaration website for foreigners.
