Wego, a travel app and online travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa, said Saudi travelers prefer destinations offering convenient air connections, simple entry procedures, reasonable costs, and family-friendly activities.
In related news, data released by digital travel platform Agoda on Tuesday indicated that outbound travel demand from South Korea remained steady in the first half of this year, with Vietnam among the most searched destinations.
Vietnam’s coastal attractions like Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc all ranked in the top 10 international searches by South Korean tourists.
Phu Quoc, an island destination in southern Vietnam, stood out with a 13-percent rise in searches against the year-ago figure, boosted by new direct flights from Incheon and Busan launched in April.
Vietnam is also the second most visited foreign destination for South Koreans after Japan, with around 278,000 arrivals in May this year.
South Korean tourists continue to favor Vietnam’s coastal resorts in Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, and Da Nang thanks to their scenic beaches, developed resort infrastructure, and short flight times.
