The total value of the agreements reached US$37.2 billion, underscoring strong commitments as bilateral ties enter a new phase.
The signing and exchange ceremony took place during the top Vietnamese leader’s working visit to the U.S. from Wednesday to Friday to attend the inaugural meeting of the Gaza Board of Peace in Washington D.C.
Among the highlights, Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology granted Starlink Services Vietnam Co., Ltd. licenses to provide satellite-based fixed and mobile telecommunications services. This marks a significant step in expanding Vietnam’s digital infrastructure.

In aviation, Vietnam Airlines signed a contract with Boeing to purchase 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, its first order of narrow-body planes from the U.S. manufacturer.
The deal supports the Vietnamese flag carrier’s sustainable growth strategy and enhances domestic and regional connectivity.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways, a newcomer in Vietnam’s aviation industry, also signed a contract to buy 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, strengthening its long-haul capacity and boosting tourism and trade flows between the two countries.

Vietnamese budget carrier Vietjet signed an agreement with Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of RTX Corporation, for the purchase of engines and maintenance services for 44 Airbus A321NEO and A321XLR aircraft.
Vietjet also reached a financing deal with Griffin Global Asset Management for six Boeing 737-8 planes.

In healthcare, Tam Anh General Hospital signed a contract with Mevion Medical Systems to acquire the Mevion S250-FIT proton therapy system, the most advanced cancer treatment technology in the U.S.
Vietnam becomes the first country in Asia to own this system, offering new hope for safer and more effective cancer treatment.
