The training took place at Tuy Hoa airfield in Phu Yen Ward, now part of the newly expanded Dak Lak Province, formed from the merger of the former Central Highlands province of Dak Lak and the old south-central province of Phu Yen.
Cadets and instructors from the Air Force Officers School, under the Air Defense – Air Force Service, took part in the drills alongside personnel from Naval Brigade 954, Naval Special Operations Unit 126, and the Special Forces Command’s anti-terrorism unit.
Parachuting teams from the Northern and Southern Aviation Parachute Clubs also participated.

Military officials said the drills were intended to improve pilot responses to aerial and ground combat scenarios, while enhancing coordination across military branches.
