Nine helicopters took off from Hoa Lac Airfield shortly after 7:00 am and flew over the capital, followed by transport aircraft and combat jets including Yak-130s, L-39NG trainers, and Su-30MK2 fighters.
The aircraft flew in formation over Ba Dinh Square and West Lake, where large crowds gathered to observe the event.
Vietnam’s Su-30 fighter jets deploy flares over Hanoi in parade rehearsal
Su-30MK2 jets deployed flares during the rehearsal, while helicopters carried the Vietnamese national flag and the Vietnamese Communist Party flag.
Vietnam will mark its National Day with a military parade in Hanoi, commemorating the success of the August Revolution in 1945 and the declaration of independence.
