Held from Saturday through Sunday on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in District 1, Ting Ting Day features interactive demonstrations from banks, fintech companies, and service providers showcasing cashless payment solutions for public transit, retail, and finance.
At the Vikki Digital Bank booth, Deputy PM Phoc tested the ‘Vikki Go’ contactless metro card designed for public transportation users.
He also explored new consumer products at the Saigon Co.op booth and learned about eco-friendly smart card manufacturing at the Mksmart booth, which produces recycled-material cards for banks.

Le Thi Thuy Sen, editor-in-chief of Thoi Bao Ngan Hang (Banking Times) under the State Bank of Vietnam, demonstrated tap-and-go ticketing technology that enables passengers to pass through gates without buying a physical ticket—an example of how cashless solutions are streamlining urban infrastructure.
At the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) booth, Luu Thi Tuyet Hanh represented the bank to introduce features such as e-wallets, QR codes, and instant eKYC account opening.

BIDV also presented QR payment soundboxes designed to help small vendors manage cash flow in real time.
“Seventy percent of surveyed customers said they now prefer QR code payments for daily transactions,” Hanh said.
Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank, or HDBank, introduced its Petrolimex 4-in-1 card, integrating debit, credit, prepaid functions, and reward points—tailored for frequent fuel and utility buyers.

Sai Gon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank, or Sacombank, attracted attention with its digital invoicing and small-business payment solutions.
Meanwhile, Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank, or ACB, showcased tools for small enterprises, such as store accounts, e-invoicing software, and digital signatures—all supporting compliance with the Vietnamese government’s Decree 70 on business digitization.

Tran Xuan Toan, deputy editor-in-chief of Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper, the event's co-organizer, said that the percentage of adults using cashless payment methods has risen sharply in recent years, signaling a clear shift in consumer behavior and tech adoption.
Ting Ting Day 2025 is part of the Cashless Day 2025 program under the theme ‘Cashless Payments Drive the Digital Economy.’
The event delivers more than a festive atmosphere. It helps promote consumer spending and strengthen Vietnam’s digital financial ecosystem.
The festival is expected to raise public awareness of cashless payments and foster collaboration among banks, fintech firms, regulators, and retailers.

The Cashless Day 2025 program was officially launched on June 2, co-organized by the State Bank of Vietnam's Payment Department, Tuoi Tre, Thoi Bao Ngan Hang, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, and the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (Napas), with guidance from the central bank and the municipal People’s Committee.

Since its debut in 2019, the Cashless Day has become an annual event that fosters digital habits, advances financial inclusion, and plays a pivotal role in building a modern, transparent, and sustainable digital economy.
