Her net worth is currently estimated at some US$4.5 billion, placing her at No. 965 on Forbes’ real-time billionaires ranking.
This marks the first time she has broken into the top 1,000 since Forbes added her to its billionaires list in March.
Her fortune has risen substantially since Forbes published its 2026 World’s Billionaires list.
On March 10, Forbes valued her wealth at $3 billion, ranking her 1,406th globally.
In roughly six months, Huong’s net worth has increased by about $1.5 billion, or 50 percent, while her global ranking has climbed 441 places.
With a fortune of $4.5 billion, Huong is now the wealthiest Vietnamese woman according to Forbes.
Another Vietnamese female billionaire, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, chairwoman of budget air carrier Vietjet Air, currently has an estimated fortune of around $4 billion, ranking 1,099th on Forbes’ latest real-time list.
Huong overtook Thao in late August to become Vietnam’s richest woman.
She is also now the second-richest person in Vietnam, behind only her husband, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of Vingroup.
Vuong remains Vietnam’s richest individual with an estimated fortune of $39.3 billion, according to Forbes.
