The event was held in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time on Wednesday, bringing together representatives of the Indian Consulate General, the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, international business organizations, investors and Vietnamese entrepreneurs to promote trade and investment in sustainable development.

Dr. Vipra Pandey, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, said stronger ties between the business communities of Vietnam and India would help entrepreneurs explore each other's markets, identify potential areas of cooperation and translate business contacts into concrete trade and investment opportunities.

"Platforms such as Green Business Matching Day Vietnam create valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs from both countries to meet, learn about each other's markets and identify areas where they can cooperate.

"We encourage businesses to build substantive partnerships and turn these connections into concrete cooperation, trade and investment activities," he said.

The event featured discussions on green food, clean energy, healthcare and strategies for entering international markets.

Participants also shared insights into preparing to enter the Indian market, including market research, product quality, business standards, distribution systems and partnership development.

A highlight of the event was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Pacific Group and Canopus Group on trade and investment cooperation.

Le Ngoc Anh Minh, executive chairman of Pacific Group, said the agreement marked an important step toward building partnerships and expanding business opportunities in Vietnam, India and other international markets.

Nguyen Tien Tuyen, founder and CEO of Chay Vietnam, said the program aimed to build a green business ecosystem by connecting suppliers, manufacturers, clean agricultural producers and supply chains with domestic and international partners.

"We also want to promote a green, healthy and sustainable lifestyle so that these values extend beyond the vegetarian community and spread throughout society," he said.

The organizers said they planned to hold in-person and online business-matching activities every month and develop Green Business Matching Day into an annual event.

The program was organized by the Vietnam Vegetarian Business Community and An Chay TV to expand green business networks and help Vietnamese sustainable products and business models reach international markets.
