A screenshot from a video shows a man towing a mobile patient bed during a post-match street celebration in Ha Tinh Province, north-central Vietnam on August 26, 2026, sparking widespread attention online

The incident occurred at about 9:50 pm on August 26 along National Highway 1 in Song Tri Ward, Ha Tinh Province, north-central Vietnam.

The man, identified as N.V.T., was seen riding with a young boy on his motorbike, neither wearing helmets, while dragging a mobile hospital bed with another person lying on it.

A video of the unusual celebration ride quickly spread online, prompting police to investigate.

During questioning, T. admitted he acted out of excitement after Vietnam’s victory over Thailand in the tournament’s second-leg final in Hanoi.

Police determined he committed three violations, including towing another object, not wearing a helmet while driving, and carrying a passenger without a helmet.

He was fined a total of VND1.7 million.

The boy riding with him, born in 2015 and therefore under 14 years old, was not subject to an administrative fine.
