Vietnamese singer Son Tung M-TP receives 5th nomination for TC Candler list of world's most handsome faces

According to TC Candler, this year's nomination list features numerous global stars, including David Beckham, Henry Cavill, Chris Hemsworth, Keanu Reeves, Hu Ge, Junhyung (GHOST9), James (Cortis), Chanyeol (EXO), as well as BTS members RM, Jimin, and Jungkook.

As for Vietnamese artists, Son Tung M-TP is not the only representative to have appeared on the list. 

In previous years, Vietnamese singers Jack and Hung Huynh have also been nominated.

Son Tung M-TP was nominated in 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2023 but he did not place in the final rankings.

TC Candler said its nomination announcements are continuing on its official platforms.

A post announcing the nomination list on TC Candler’s Facebook account drew more than 2,000 reactions and hundreds of comments, many from Vietnamese users.

As the news spread across entertainment pages on social media, comments reflected mixed reactions.

TC Candler publishes the annual rankings 'The 100 Most Beautiful Faces' and 'The 100 Most Handsome Faces,' which it says have been released since 1990.

The organization says the selections consider factors including appearance, charisma, personality, and influence.

The rankings have also faced criticism from some online commentators, who say that the selection process is subjective and that the judging criteria and panel are not clearly defined.

Some critics also argue that strong online fan communities can influence attention around the nominations.
