Vietnamese tech giant joins OpenAI's global partner network

OpenAI, the U.S. company behind ChatGPT, has listed FPT as a Select Partner within its OpenAI Partner Network, a partnership aimed at helping enterprises accelerate AI adoption while improving operational efficiency and security, the Vietnamese technology giant announced on Thursday.

The OpenAI Partner Network is a global program that connects technology companies, system integrators, and consulting providers to develop and deliver AI solutions powered by OpenAI technologies.

Through the partnership, FPT will work with OpenAI to help organizations develop AI transformation strategies, deploy AI solutions effectively, and apply advanced AI models and products, including the GPT-5.6 model and ChatGPT Work tool, to business operations.

The collaboration will also help enterprises improve productivity and optimize costs through more efficient token management, FPT said.

"As an OpenAI Select Partner, FPT will continue working with OpenAI to bring frontier models and products into enterprise operations at scale, helping organizations accelerate AI transformation responsibly and effectively," said Pham Minh Tuan, Executive Vice President of FPT Corporation and CEO of FPT Software.

He noted that cybersecurity is among the key areas where advanced AI can make a significant impact, particularly as businesses face growing digital risks.

"By integrating GPT-5.6 Sol and Codex Security into FPT's cybersecurity platforms and intelligent workflows, particularly through our Patch the Enterprise program, we aim to help protect customers' IT infrastructure and application environments as new AI-related risks emerge. 

"This approach would enable organizations to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities more efficiently while strengthening their ability to address emerging security risks," he said.

FPT also plans to expand the use of OpenAI technologies across its FPT AI ecosystem, develop agentic AI solutions for enterprise workflows, enhance AI infrastructure and training programs, and redesign operations around human-AI collaboration.

The partnership comes as demand for AI and cybersecurity services continues to grow globally, with businesses seeking solutions to improve efficiency and safeguard their digital operations.

The partnership with OpenAI is expected to strengthen FPT's technological capabilities and help the company expand its market share in the fast-growing AI and cybersecurity services market.
