The publication introduced the history of Vietnamese coffee, tracing its journey from a crop introduced during the French colonial era to a beverage that has become an integral part of Vietnam’s cultural identity.

It highlighted the familiar sight of people patiently waiting for coffee to drip through a traditional phin filter into a strong brew, often sweetened with condensed milk.

It also comes infused with salt or whipped with egg to create a tiramisu-like treat.
