The project is intended to generate, transmit and distribute solar electricity across a proposed area of approximately 526 hectares, including about 523 hectares of the reservoir’s water surface.
Its main components will include floating solar panels and inverters, a floating medium-voltage 35-kV cable system, and integrated RMU step-up substations.
The project will also feature a 35/220-kV step-up transformer station, an operations and management center, an energy storage battery system, and a six-kilometer 220-kV transmission line connecting the plant to the grid, along with other facilities.
Located in Ea Sup and Ea Kiet Communes, the project will have an operating term of 50 years from the date land-use rights and related approvals are granted.
Construction and commissioning are expected to take 18 months from the issuance of land allocation, land lease, or land-use conversion decisions.
Provincial authorities require the project to be completed and begin commercial operation no later than the fourth quarter of 2028.
The province has approved four companies as investors, including IPC Engineering and Construction JSC, Tay Nguyen Infrastructure Construction and Development JSC, SD Vietnam Construction Investment JSC, and Ea Sup Investment JSC.
