Authorities in the southern city of Dong Nai confirmed on Saturday they had seized nearly 17 metric tons of frozen animal products of unknown origin, including pork udders, pork, immature eggs, and pig intestines.
The city’s market surveillance forces teamed up with local police and the municipal Department of Agriculture and Environment to inspect vehicles at Dong Nai bus station on Friday.
They caught driver L.N.H., 32, transferring bags of frozen goods from his truck to another vehicle driven by N.D.H., 41.
Upon inspection, officials discovered a large quantity of frozen pig parts and other animal products.
Both drivers failed to present invoices, certificates of origin, or veterinary quarantine documents for the cargo.

Records and delivery notes seized at the scene showed that the shipment weighed nearly 17 metric tons and was intended for distribution to local markets and eateries.
The inspection team temporarily seized the entire shipment, along with the two trucks involved.
The case remains under investigation, and further legal action will be taken in accordance with Vietnamese law.
