Minister Thang announced the upcoming mission during a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper at the Ministry of Finance headquarters on Thursday. The discussion focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and addressing shared economic concerns.
Thang thanked Ambassador Knapper and the U.S. Embassy for their support, describing it as a reflection of the increasingly substantive and effective progress in the Vietnam-U.S. comprehensive strategic partnership, established in September 2023.
Appointed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to lead the delegation, Thang highlighted that the size and scope of this year’s group reflect Vietnamese enterprises’ strong interest in the U.S. market and their desire to deepen economic ties.

Advancing fair, sustainable cooperation
In addition to participating in the summit, Minister Thang and his delegation will meet with U.S. government agencies, business associations, and major firms in sectors such as semiconductors, high tech, startups, banking, green finance, and digital finance.

He emphasized that 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries—a fitting time to further strengthen economic cooperation.
Minister Thang expressed confidence that with Ambassador Knapper’s continued leadership and close collaboration across all relevant parties, the two sides would continue building a productive, enduring, and high-impact trade and investment partnership.
